Re: Clear Out

Hi Graham, I have only just seen your post and hence logged in to see your PM. As I am no longer a Nomad or windsurfer I don't look much anymore. Sorry can't help you - I could have up until the early June when I threw a whole stack of battens and spares of the type you want away ahead of a house mo...

Re: Roadford lake Friday......

I agree with Graham - looks marginal and gusty - the tide is a big one at 11.6 m so it will be very lumpy an hour either side of high and the wind will drop near the beach so hard to get out. Not enough sun for the sea breeze so I reckon you will get about 90 minutes from 1730 (long walk) to 1900 wh...

Re: Sunday 31 May

I assumed the Beach car park would be shut so went to Brean - very windy - I was massively overpowered on my 8.0 kite - think 4.5 windsurf sail and a very lumpy sea state and 100% on shore made for difficult conditions - only one windsurfer out and much less people than expected - the open beach at ...

Re: May Bank Holiday weekend 2015

Hit Weston on Sunday - as an 11.5m tide only intended to get there 3 hours before to be on the water 2.5 hours but the wind was poor - did get out kiting but the wind was very iffy coming and going - typical southerly - big holes and then no winfd - then wind etc. A very poor session but I did get o...

Re: Weekend 11-12 April

Almost a club weekend as in addition to Justin and Lorraine, Nigel, Martin and Matt were all in attendance and I had my first outing on a kite since breaking my shoulder.

Re: Chipper Windsurf For Sale

Hi Andy, I guess you don't actually know anything about windsurfing equipment. Unfortunately for you this kit dates back well over 20 years and a lot has changed since then. No one who windsurfs is likely to want to pay as much as £5 for a chipper, this age kit is basically unsellable to anyone with...

Re: Monday 22nd. Dec

Hi Graham, I have an almost unused Tushingham RDM60 400 mast for sale if you need a replacement - i bought it just before I took to the dark side so although 5 years old i have only sailed 6 times in last 3 or 4 years. Yours for £100 plus a mast bag thrown in and an adaptor if your boom does not fit...

Portland Sunday 20th

Warm and windy at Portland but not a lot of water for windsurfing so the windsurfers were getting a reasonable walk to get out and back. Very bad day for me as I fractured my shoulder plus assorted minor injuries :( - before anyone says thats the danger of kitesurfing - I was chatting in the car par...

Hi Ian,

I have some nice new kit for you - 1999 Fly or 2002 JP - never thought I would see you on 'New Millenium' kit but the 2000 NP Jet shows you are modernising

Re: Sunday 26th.

6 inches is a lot more water than you need on a kite :D However I know from experience that doing around 30 mph on a kite in a couple of inches of water can get painful if you have a big wipe out  I went to Hill Head on the Solent and got their to find no wind - however it filled in around noon...

Re: Sun 19 Oct - Hamworthy

Went to Brean again - started as Saturday with no to little wind - going from 28 mph to 17 then 11 mph in a few seconds so chose my 12.0 but the wind disappeared completely for a bout 15 minutes but then just switched on and I was well powered up for the first hour but then had to change down to my ...

Re: Sat 18th Brean ..... or not

The last hour at Brean was the best after I had accepted that it was not really going to be windy and rigged my 12.0 kite - think about 6.5/7.0 windsurf sail - nice waves were few and far between but scored a couple including a 5 turn down the line to finish....
