Re: Wednesday 4th Nov - Inn on the Green

I'm going to make this one !

This years plans all went adrift.

Sad to say this will be my first "windsurf" outing of the year.

Must do better .........

Also just discovered http://www.windyty.com
Fantastic if it is accurate.

Re: Saturday 8th

Hi Ian,
Thanks for the advice. It was a close call but I don't fancy the long walk again so probably give it a miss this week.

Saturday 8th

Possibly off to Portland again tomorrow. Will try out the Sailing Centre as they claim to have a ramp that works for all tide states and there won't be much water at the boatyard.
Looks windy till mid afternoon so might have to be an early start.

Sat 1st Portland

Wind as forecast and plenty of water this week. 5.75m sail and 125l Fanatic, just right for the conditions and my ability. A few lulls but not enough to be a real problem. Lots of flat water blasting with gybes at each end - no complete carve jobs this time. Managed to stay out longer this week so m...

Re: Sat. 1st. Nov

Looking at Weymouth again this weekend. Warm, windy and with some water.

What more could you want - apart from a shorter drive, obviously.

Re: Sunday 26th.

No problem Bob, hope the Van gets well soon. Boatyard car park was full. It was a good F4 to 5 and not kit destroying so I left the Screamer in the Van and got out the Eagle. Graham was right about that. It was one of those rare days when the conditions were perfect for the size of sail and board I ...

Re: Sunday 26th.

I was considering Portland tomorrow for one last blast before it gets too cold and the wimp in me takes over for the winter.

Re: Sunday 19th. Oct

Hi Bob,

I'll be in a black Renault Trafic with no distinguishing features, heading off from Almondsbury.
Early start with a breakfast stop sounds like a great plan.
Do you have a particular cafe in mind?

Re: Sunday 19th. Oct

Never been to Hamworthy so keen to give it a go on Sunday. Wind still looking good.
If anyone else decides to go what time are you planning to get there?
