I'm going to Portland tomorrow. Agree the rain looks bad but it will wash the gear at the end of the session! At least it's windy and 12-ish degrees c.
RRD & Tushingham kit. Will be there 11-ish. Might as well start the season planing in 20knts!
cheers all,
Simon

Re: RIP Windsurfers World
Thank you Windsurfers World for all your advice and equipment over the years! Always great service and helpful ideas on kit, even though I couldn't afford to buy the complete board & sail quiver I would have liked on each visit but I'm glad I stuck to WSW Tushingham Sails (still the best). The v...

Re: Sunday 14th
Is anyone going to Portland tomorrow 14 Apr? The wind looks mainly southerly but looks good. Alternatively I might go to Poole.

Portland Sat 28 April
Hi Graham, I had the same concerns yesterday, the 1st blast of the year for me and a cold NE didn't seem that encouraging but I went to Portland in the afternoon after checking the harbour anemometer. It turned out to be a good session in 15-20kn winds although it was a broad reach from the boatyard...

Portland
I'm hoping to get a sail in Sunday, probably Portland for the afternoon although agree a southerly is not good as the Isle of Portland creates a wind shadow. Met office has the high winds on Sunday but Wind Guru has Monday so will be watching closely tomorrow.... Air temp of 18'c, 25+ knots...the la...

Weymouth 5th Sept
Great to see loads of Nomads out at windy Portland this weekend, reminded me to renew my membership (!). Warm water and windy, what a great day! ps I was the speed nut on the Sputnik 270 and orange Gun 5.7m...bit scary at times in SE but a great reach over to the castle and back; anyone else crack a...

The wind is arriving late in time for a Sunday sail!
I'm looking to head for Portland tomorrow morning. Wind Guru and all the forecasts point to a force 5+ in the morning, southerly, dropping to a force 4-5 in the afternoon, south westerly. So it looks like the forecast was predicting the front arriving too early but it still might rush through in the...

JP Freestyle wave
Hi all, Has anyone tried or own a JP freestyle wave? I am thinking of buying an FSW 85 and would like to hear your views. I have been windsurfing since 1986 and most of my sailing is fully cammed slalom sailing but I would like an all round board for force 4 - 5 for coastal sailing (slalom boards do...
