Sorry Adrian, now that I'm working local to home I can't get over your way in the evenings. Also I sail (my boat) on Wednesdays. Have a good ride. It sounds as if you are near fully recovered now - that's good.

The four of us - Ian, Neroli, Nigel and myself enjoyed an epic tour of the Mendips. Mostly incident free apart from Ian's numerous punctures! Some light rain in pm plus a brief heavy shower. Quite a lot of muddy bits but really good fun to do an xc route rather than dedicated trail. A welcome and no...

I can't do Saturday, and Sunday looks wet. I could be up for a ride on Monday though, which looks perfect for it. I'll have to dust the bike off - literally not used for about six months   . I've done a little road cycling recently so hopefully my fitness is not too bad. I'd prefer not...

Maybe sailable from about 16:30 to sunset at WSM on Friday, but its looking pretty wintry and I suspect the wind won't be there (two factors in this - the tendency for wind to disappear towards sunset because the thermal mixing stops, returning it to higher levels, and the lax of thermal mixing in ...

I had been hoping to join you this w/e. However, I've hurt my right knee (I was trying to fix a leaky loo when something went 'pop' and was very painful). The forecasts have stong and cold northerly winds, so the Q's could be quite exposed, but not sure about Exmoor, although Sat looks the sunniest ...

There is no parking at Overcombe now unless you have a 120 annual season ticket. You can be clamped if you enter the car park with wind or kite kit. Apparently the owner has taken a lot of abuse including a windsurfer trying to run him down and he has had enough. Adrian That's a pity (again). Have ...

Committee 2008

You will have seen the list sent out by Viv of those standing for re-election for this year's committee. This dosn't mean there are no vacancies for new committee members if they want to join. I am very willing to step aside if anyone else wants to stand, so please don't feel you would be pushing so...

I'm a 'possible' on this. I'd love to do some more biking in the Lake District, but the Level 3 course sounds a bit 'full on' for me. I'd rather just do some trail riding/exploring and take in the scenery! As for dates I can't do 17/18th May, and I'd prefer not to miss the Wimbleball event on 25th M...

Adrian,
I hope to be back on the bike fairly soon. It still has its summer tyres on, which tells you when I last rode it! If I wait a little longer I won't need to put the winter tyres on :) .
Currently doing some work on my boat.

Hi Mick,
have a look at the details on our location finder on this site.
WSM is quite popular when the wind blows, and the tide is in.
There are a few of us who are also members of BCYC.

What we need is someone who lives quite close to WSM posting update late tomorrow am. How about it Al? Hopefully not too late Matt. At Yatton, the rain has just started and the wind has dropped. Game over I reckon :( . Richard Angwin was right - he usually is! Five minutes later... hmm, there is st...

It's worth doing a last minute check on the wind before setting out. Richard Angwin on Points West reckons the wind will drop out tomorrow pm. Windguru still sticking to 20kts! One of them is wrong!!
