Re: Hamworthy Club Trip on Sunday 11th.May

Sorry Graham I had to work that weekend.
Glad you got out though.
Sounds like the conditions may have been a bit much for me.
I do like Hamworthy though.

Portland Sun 20th April

Good day out for me. Arrived about 10:00 quite a few windsurfers, not many Kites. Wind cross on. Rigged a 5.2 and was off like a rocket, proper white knuckle ride, got to the orange buoys near the sailing center panicked and fell in. Return journey not so good, hugged the shore on the way out and go...

Re: Tuesday 8th April Weston

Sue As silly as it sounds not sure about the time. Left the house about 10:30am, got halfway to the M5 and realised I had forgotten lucky buoyancy aid and towel. Second attempt eventually made it (traffic jam in Weston) bursting for the Loo. A couple of Scooby vans parked next to me and the people w...

Tuesday 8th April Weston

Weston Windsurfers I salute you. How do you do that. Best I managed was 100 meters and that's being generous. Matt, 'friendlier conditions' it feels like it's coming at you from every direction. Sue, you're right about the fit part, I was exhausted after 5mins, I'll have to find something to keep me...

Tuesday 8th April

Going to head down to Weston tomorrow for the midday tide.
Not sure if I'll be brave enough to get in.
Hopefully someone else will be sailing (always boosts the courage factor).

Portland Saturday 17th Aug

Lots of Windsurfers and Kiters in the boatyard. Bob, Jan, Ian and me proudly representing the Nomads. Had a great day, rigged a 6.5 and spent the morning trying to crack water starting, with some success. Some great runs in between (for my standard) even if Bob, Ian and Jan did go wizzing past. Got ...

Nomads beach Flag

Wouldn't mind getting a Bristol Nomads flag made for days at the beach or lake.
Does anybody have a decent image file of the club logo?

Re: Portland 20th July

Adrian we missed you. Boat yard was packed when we arrived so we used the main car park as well. Myself and Julian sailing, both on 140 Carves. As mentioned superb day. Ian I thought I saw your sail and board on the water so had a walk up to the boatyard couldn't see your car or any Nomad windscreen...
