It is a late tide at Weston on Saturday, so I hope to try somewhere closer to home.

Daymer

Traveled down for the lads week at Daymer, although this year was more notable for my mishaps than the sailing. Things started badly on Saturday morning when the wheels fell off the trailer, literally. Eight wheel nuts came loose, two wheel came off - one being lost permanently. I tried all the trai...

A great ride: thank you Adrian and Ian. I lived the regret my suggestions (but only just). But what a great view. We also saw how Neroli continues with her death wish. Hope you are still walking and taking today. As usual I have attached a few pictures to accompany the pain. No heart monitor stats. ...

Not sure where the Swan is but see you there at 2.00. Any directions would be welcome, please.

I rest my case on cycling in the dark. I still have a lower excitement threshold. I can still falls off my bike when its still light.

How to muddle towards a conclusion...

Rowberrow is fine, but well used.

Go with tried and trusted or something new?

Any time after 1 is OK, altho' as we found at Ashton Ct the evening are drawing in (which adds a new challenge!)

I hope to join you if the oesteo can put my body back together in time. I assume the entrance is the one opposite the Long Ashton junction. Meet at he end of the one way section or the nearest point to the Court?

A great ride. I enjoyed the downhill this time! I have downloaded the map, which is superimposed on the last visit. Of interest, you can see one section where the two routes diverge. I assume this is where we stopped to consider our options. Looking at the official route this suggests we made the wr...

I have spoken to Martin and we are planning on going to Afan , although we can be persuaded otherwise. Cwm Carn may be better kept for more marginal weather. We plan to meet here at 10, which suggests an 11.30 start at Afan. Options include a short skyline or two of the other routes. Post a reply or...

Al I'm waiting to hear from Martin. However, a ride sounds preferable to a trip to Saunton.

There's also Afan. A shortened skyline trail appeals or any of the others, perhaps doing two routes.

Al Do you have any other suggestions? I assume it is cross off/off in Wales and the South coast.

Weston may be sailable at dusk. Is Minehead tidal, I assume so?

Dartmoor match report. An excellent weekend and generally the weather was good. The wind on Sunday suggested we were missing out tho'. The Saturday ride included the the most awesome technical downhill that I have attempted. Wonderful, altho' a little short. One of the group broke the hanger, which ...

Dartmoor update. I am riding with a small group on Dartmoor this weekend and you are welcome to join us for the day or for the sleepover in the bunkhouse (£9 a night pp). This is excellent value and makes for a very social weekend. We are meeting in the car park at Bovey Tracy at 10am for a quick br...
