The Wye valley on Saturday sounds attractive if it fits with others. I can offer a shared lift from Tockington (near M4/M5 Jnct) if of interest to anyone.

I would be up for either of those rides. The pub sounds particularly attractive, as it is likely to be warm.

I am keen to ride, but not so keen to pay £27 for the privilege.

Are there multiple routes at Ashton Court?

I hope to be there to join you and can offer tuition about standing at the bar.

Catapult falls and water starts are optional extras for the more adventurous.

OOOps. Saturday and Monday are looking promising, it was Sunday that was dire. I misread the BBC weather page. The demo sounds more promising (16 mph).

Great idea, however have they booked any wind? Sunday looks promising, but Monday may be a drifter.

In my blissful ignorance I put the mid air pirouette, with bike attached, down to skill. However, I was quick to realise that the main benefit of the Camelback is to provide a soft landing; especially the soft Mars bar. This was followed shortly by the acquisition of a first aid kit after seeing Ner...

Thanks for the offer Ian, however the order is in now. I have chosen the same arm protection as you, Brand X, but different leg protection, Roach Indi Leg. I found the brand X rubbed my delicate knees, but I wait to see if this other design is any better. Based on my limited experience the best solu...

Thanks Martin and Viv. I have ordered the clips from Chain reaction along with some armor plating. I have managed my first few yards and a fall already.

I assume the clips I have (51's) attach with the narrow end nearest the toe of the shoe? It seemed to work.

SPD Clips

Does anyone have a set of Shimano SPD Clips type 55 (for beginners) that they would be willing to sell/lend/exchange for type 51's.

Most grateful

Dartmoor Update

I am aware that next weekend (16th & 17th) clashes with Poole and other activities. However, if anyone has a last minute change of heart would like to join Martin, myself and others for a ride on Dartmoor then you would be welcome. Bed and breakfast is still available at the pub for £16 and it looks...
