BBs

Martin, The new hope ones are reputed to be very good - ceramic or steel versions, only a couple g weight difference but ceramic is harder. The ones I use are the BETD replacements for the Shimanos - £20 per set and mine have lasted about 18 months and are still going (mind you, I ride a different b...

Afan - Sun 17th August

With the current soggy conditions we have decided on a trip to Afan on Sunday as it holds up well in the wet. Shouldn't be having to think like this in August really!!

So, plan is to meet at Glyncorrag at 10.15 for a a 10.30 start and do the Whyte's Level and Wall combo.

Anyone fancy joining us?

Nigel, what is going on? A gel saddle cover!! OMG, that's shocking!
If your saddle and padded shorts aren't good enough I know a good bike shop that could help you out
I hope your Yeti has forgiven you :D

Great ride despite a grumpy old man on the trail and a slightly grumpy man at the tea stop - not sure all welcome on the sign was true but more like all welcome except MTBers! Thanks Ian for the pics - still not sure how Paul Mac did not go over the bars on the log drop - never seen forks so compres...

All,

I'm doing a guided ride on the Quantocks this Saturday and Vicky and I will be riding there on the Sunday as well - anyone fancy joining us?

We'll aim to start around 10:30 from the car park formally known as Stellas.

Register your interest here by close of play Friday evening.

Cheers,

Last minute - Sun 22nd

All, Vicky will have her head buried in a book and the computer tomorrow (and not looking for cheap bike bits!). I'm therefore at a loose end and will be heading out for a ride somewhere - maybe Lansdown? Cwmcarn? Ridgeway? Biddestone? Let me know if anyone is up for a quick spin out. Cheers, Rob.

Bristol Bike Fest

I'm taking part in the 12hour event on Saturday with Ewan, Pete & Steenie, so if anyone fancies spectating, being pit crew or just enjoying the atmosphere, please come along. See http://www.bike-fest.com/bristol/ for details of what's on.

Could be a good warm up for Nigel's do . . .

Cheers,
RaV.

Uplifting experience

All, Several of us have expressed interest in going up and down and up and down and up and down and up and down and up and down and up and down and up and down and up and down and up and down and up and down etc at Cwncarn for the day, utilising the uplift service. I'd like to arrange this in the ne...

We are aborting the Mendips ride as it will just be far too horrible on the top of the hills in this weather :(

However we are keen to ride today so may do a ride from Biddestone later on - if anyone is interested give me a buzz
