Didn't see anyone else I recognised, only 4 windsurfers and 2 kiters out. I had fitters installing solar panels at home, so didn't hang around on the beach other than to give Axel a run around.

WSM this Weds?

Following a prompt from Martin & Nigel, I did manage to rearrange a few things and with complete disregard for "Brownie Points" sneaked off to Weston with Axel for a quick sail in the hope of meeting up with a few of the other work shy Nomads. Arrived around high tide to find the wind dead on shore ...

Bit concerned about the elevation on the plots:
Elevation
Min / Max -22ft / 62ft
The Max 62ft is very impressive, the likes of Robbie himself would be proud of that. Bit more concerned about the -22ft - was that the wipeout after the 62 footer or did you just strap the GPS to a Gannet?

Tuesday 31st May

Think I must have got lost or something but somehow Neroli, Axel and I turned up at the right place at the right time with kit and finally managed to score our first sailing session for around 7 months. Didn't get down to the beach till shortly after 6, by which time Graham, Matt & SteveC had alread...

If we can persuade the van's immobilizer to let us start (big if unfortunately) we will be heading for Newton. Not sure how long we will manage to sail - haven't sailed yet this year and spent all day digging a trench today. Arms, back and hands all totally shot before we get on the water.

Neroli, Axel & I plan to be there. We will certainly be riding leisurely, sadly Axel doesn't understand leisurely and doesn't normally bother with a bike.

Blimey, sounds a bit radical . I thought windsurfing was a lifelong aliment, once started, you can't stop yourself from getting mesmerised by trees swaying in the wind and wind blown "chop" forming on puddles on windy days. Alternatively of course, this could be a very smart way into getting ne...

Neroli and I gave up with insuring our kit a long time ago because we found that once you have multiple boards and sails it becomes uneconomic unless all your kit is recent and consequently valuable - in order to have your sail insured it had to be in use with a board that was also insured. In our c...

May be we could start a Facebook campaign to move Hayling Island up to the Bristol Channel  - I'm sure that if we get enough supporters the goverment will have to take notice :-))

He is about 14 inches or so. To give you an idea of scale, the ridge line of his Mum's back is about waist level on Neroli - tiny cows!

He need not worry about his name for another 24-30 months or so .

New non-windsurfing Nomad

The latest arrival to Neroli's & my "family" arrived last Thursday - just in time for the coldest night of the year and the snow :???:

Appropriately called Ribeye....
