Good Friday

I joined RAV for a guided tour around the Quantocks. (Plus Steenie, Struan, and Jemma) The forecast was to be very wet, but fortunately nothing fell from the sky: it just lay there in puddles on the trail. On the subject of the weather, it was freezing in the car park but I was cooking after the fir...

The Gap as a Google Earth jpg. It looses a lot in the retelling. For some reason I was not able to load the Google Earth file @ 88kb but can send by email.

I am pleased to say that all 13 of us were very restrained in the café. It was another epic ride, with a number of very good riders. The weather was sunny and dry although there was a crisp wind on the top It was good to see Adrian, Steve and Viv, and catch up with the news. This time I narrowly esc...

April Foools day

I joined birthday boy Rob (‘still waiting for his 21st’ ), Vicky, Sonny and Anna for a ride around the Wall and Whytes combo. I am feeling pleased with myself, as I not only cleared the North Shore section without a dab (for the first time), I also completed the whole course. This was not something ...

All credit to Adrian, the trails were wonderfully dry and the sun shone (although you were reminded how cold it was when the sun went behind a cloud/tree) We went back to do the Enduro course again, with a little exploring thrown in for good measure. As mentioned by Matt, forestry work has blighted ...

It has been a fairly wet week, so i suggest somewhere not too muddy. However, as I have not removed the mud from the Quantocks ride, I am not fussy I am keen to explore both Mountain Ash and Machen sometime. See Kelvins info under Routes/Dragon downhill & Alt Routes or if these URLs work http://...

What a glorious day. Joined Rob, Vicky and six others for a magical mystery tour around the Quantocks. Rob was in his element taking us down some excellent technical sections and up that 'one last climb'. Last time I was on the Quantocks the 'chute' (or is it gulley?) was made impassable by fallen t...

Hi Mat I am keen to return for more, as we may have identified a couple of 'new' DH runs. They are marked on an old Forestry map, so we are not sure if they still exist. Unfortunately though, we are missing two key assets. Firstly, Martin is away snow skiing and at the moment he is the only one who ...

Wonderful ride, great company    Ian, Neroli, Martin and I trundled around the Forest of Dean The weather was positively balmy. Sunny, dry and T shirts and shorts were seen everywhere (except on me). The car park was overflowing, although we saw very few people on the trails. We start...

I have spoken to Martin and we are thinking of venturing out to the Forrest of Dean on Sunday

Hopefully it will be fairly dry

If there is interest we suggest arriving at the Cycle Centre at about 10.30 'ish
