Hi Paul, welcome to the forum. The only other lake in the area with credible wind is Axbridge reservior just south of Cheddar. You are probably already aware of the Cotswold Water Park but I don't think that matches your criteria for gusts. We don't have a regular meeting ground, which is why we are...

Nothing breaking, a few ramps on the way out for those used to port tack jumping but nothing to get too excited / intimidated by. You would have had much shorter and steeper ramps at Portland given the wind direction and strength. Sadly having done so little sailing this year my jumping left alot to...

Neroli and I had a leisurely start on Saturday morning, eventually reaching Dale around one o'clock. The winds were relatively light but people were planing on and off with 7m sails. We were told my 8.6 should be comfortable, however the weather didn't look that promising and the dog was increasingl...

5.8m on a Techno? Not surprised you didn't like it, it was hardly a fair test! I have a 36cm fin (instead of the usual 46cm) I use on my Techno if I am on the 6.5m but even that isn't really fair, the board is far too big for that sort of wind and becomes a real handful to control the lift and keep ...

Too much fence post bashing on Sat meant I struggled to even lift my pint on Sunday but I'm glad you enjoyed it  Noticed it was windy as we walked up to the pub - does that count as nearly making it to WSM?

Chew Valley Beer Festival 2010

Is Fri 10th & Sat 11th September. As usual 32 beers, 7 ciders, 2 bands etc etc, www.chewvalleybeerfestival.co.uk . Friday night is generally the better night to go - needless to say an excellent night out and a great excuse to quaff some unusal beers - in particular the specially brewed "Ub...

Sue, do you know what direction the wind was blowing? Unfortunately the station isn't mounted by the beach, so will be sheltered more in some directions that others. Thanks.

Lap or 2 around Ashton Court before the Angel tonight?

Neroli, Axel & I are planning to have a jaunt around Ashton Court tonight to build up a thirst in preparation for the Angel.

Anyone else fancing joining? Mountain Bike & helmet essential but experience isn't. Give me a call or drop me a line if you do.

think I can probably beat you on the number of dog walks, however my total year's windsurfing stats look similar to your "Wed" stats - I must try harder.

Struggling to remember what my MTB looks like - let alone what windsurfing boards I have :-(
