Dahab - The Sequel
The four intrepid explorers returned after an excellent holiday in Dahab :D :D :D . Hands suitably worn (no fingerprints left - time to do that bank job! ), bodies suitably (read - completely!) knackered  Richard's 26 knots is still safe although Steve managed 31.2 with motorised assist...

Hayling Island This Weekend
Looks like there is going to be wind this weekend, yay
Not too many at the pub, a warm welcome to our new members, who joined us last night.
Ian & Neroli and Angela & Stuart definitely going to Hayling Island this weekend.

Porthcawl on Sunday
A good turnout at the pub. A few interested in Porthcawl on Sunday, but most keeping a close eye on the weather. Ian & Neroli plan to go.
Matt will watch jealously, but has to go to Lake Como for the weekend, while Paul is stuck in Nepal, mountain biking.

Hi all Sorry for the delay in responding to this one, but we are in the middle of sorting out a holiday in Dahab in May and wanted to be sure of our dates. Steve and I would be interested in some Cycleactive training - particularly for jumping. We now know that we will be away for the first two week...

Had a lovely, dry ride today. Bit boggy on some of the firetracks but all the off piste sections that we tried were dry and great fun :D :D - can't beat Rowberrow in the dry 8) . As always the beer and food in the pub tasted all the better for the energy expended beforehand. We did notice it spittin...

Steve and I decided that the Quantocks was beyond our level of fitness at the moment and went back to Swinley, flatter see  . Weather was dry too, which was a bonus. We even managed 1.5 miles further than last time at 10 miles   My trusty steed also passed the 1000 offroad miles du...

Not sure Rob had quite such a lethargic pace in mind - but my first ride since Whistler was better than expected :D :D - I may change my mind tomorrow when I can't move though  Steve and I bailed half way through due to knackeredness, only 8.3 miles on relatively flat terrain, but good ride. T...

Looks good 8) 8) - the advice about 5 runs sounds like a good idea too - it is surprisingly knackering to spend all your time coming downhill, so much concentration and adrenaline :D :D . Though it may be an idea to make the first run on the XC course to get your self warmed up and get your eye in. ...

Windsurfing on the North Norfolk Coast
I received this recently and thought I would pass it on - I have never sailed in that part of the country, does anyone know if the venues mentioned are any good for windsurfing and if so what level? Hi I thought you might be interested in our facilities at Deepdale Backpackers and Camping (www.deepd...

White Van Girl Needs Help
Angela, our Minister for Outfits, has recently become a White Van Girl   , which I have to admit was a bit of a surprise until I discovered that it was all in the name of windsurfing 8) 8) . Angela and Stuart have started to fit out the van for windsurfing and need some ideas. Have you...

A good turnout consiering there was no wind - 15 of us enjoyed the BBQ this afternoon, thanks all for coming, it was great to see everyone. There was enough wind to fly the Nomads flag until the last person arrived, after which it looked decidedly limp (ooerr mother  ) We were also treated to...

Granny Gear
There is hope for you dedicated MTBers / road cyclists as you get older :D :D :D . My Mum is in her 70's and doesn't like to drive too much anymore. She has a dodgy hip so can't walk too far either. Always independent and not wanting to rely on others for lifts, so she has recently bought herself a ...
