Sailed Weston again today. Slightly different conditions to yesterday. Arrived around 1.30pm to find thick fog :o which still hadn't cleared the beach when I left about 4hrs later. Car thermometer measured 9'C. Still, had a good sail on 5.7 85L. Had a kind of surreal quality in all the fog :) .

Lucky at Weston Tues 1st April

Windguru forecast for Weston looked good today, so took the day off work. Sunshine and lots of white(ish) water when I arrived, so rigged 4.5 75L waveboard. On the water at ~1pm, perfectly powered for 2hrs in the sun :D . Some good steep ramps out behind the pier made for some exciting jumping :shoc...

Sunday

I was thinking of Barry on Sunday. Low tide around 4pm. Could be quite windy there in the afternoon on the present (SW) forecast(?).

Me and Lorraine are heading for the harbour (Whitley Lake - not the sea side). Probably see you if you decide on Sandbanks.

Tues at weston

Classic Weston this aft/eve. Sunny, 5-6m ish conditions (I had some fun on 5m/86l :D ). Some nice ramps, especially early on - I can confirm that you can reach the water without encountering mud 3 hrs before high tide, and the waves are always nicer (in my opinion) earlier on.

If the Locations section on the website is right, Dale should work well for flat water sailing in the N/NW winds forecast.

Weston was fun - similar conditions to the Knapp by the sounds of it. Looking at the forecast same thing could happen tomorrow (Tues) if anyone fancies an after work sail (high tide 7pm).

If anyone's free tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon/evening Weston might be worth a look - forecast of W-ish wind around 10mph, high tide 5pm, could work with the sea breeze. Definitely worth a try, if the forecast stays the same I'll be there.
