Re: WSM Monday 21/7

Wind gone quiet here too now for a bit I think, just as well as I need a rest, sailed 9 days on the trot. What's a fleece? :D

Re: Le Weekend

I'm aiming to sail in Datca both Saturday and Sunday, if I've got any energy left after today. Probably 5.5 weather. Everybody welcome. :-) :D

PS. You must have bright shorts though!

Re: Berrow Sunday 8th June

You didn't miss anything, glad I took my bike! NigelP actually sailed a bit, I only got wet from the rain.

Ought to be able to get onto WSM beach tomorrow based on previous experience, looks like the windiest day this week but some rain too. Worth keeping an eye on.

Re: Late sail WSM Sat/Sun

Amazing, nothing else anywhere. I saw the flags sticking out on the Burnham webcam but tide too late for me.

Re: Sunday 25th May Axbridge

A surprise bonus session. :D I saw it was gusting 15-28mph at Lulsgate so I took a chance on Weston, even though Flatholm wind meter only showing 12mph. Got there at 3, so a couple of hours before high tide. Blowing 5.7 weather so that's what I rigged, sticking it on the Kombat 96 initially but swap...

Superwindy Saturday 10th

Stupidly windy day! Arrived around 1445 with still neapy high tide at 1630. Loads there already, think I saw Adrian kiting. Everybody on small sails 4.5m max. Measured wind in mid to high 30s mph, with some gusts feeling quite a bit more. It was actually ramping up too, which explained the increasin...

Re: Hamworthy Club Trip on Sunday 11th.May

It'll be Weston for me again tomorrow, if I can persuade the body to move again. At the Thursday social Mike and Martin also said they were planning to go to WSM for bit of training in the lumpy stuff.

Re: Fri 9th May - Weston

I enjoyed that sunny session despite the slightly iffy wind later, looks like the early birds had the best wind. The Quad 92 was working really well with the 5.2, with plenty of get up and go, grip and shallow water ability. I thought the waves were good especially towards the pier, just needed a bi...

WSM for me, neapy high tide ~3.30pm, looking sunny, strong and westerly.

Thanks Ian for your kind comments, it's clearly not true that young people today don't respect their elders.
Graham, wave boards are for playing in waves on!

Sat/Sun 12th/13th double bubble

It's been a long time since I had 2 days on the trot but WSM delivered this weekend. Saturday was forecast to be the windier day and although mostly overcast gave solid 6.5/110L weather for me. Kit was working really well for the conditions, just nicely powered up for a couple of hours up to high ti...

Re: WSM - outside chance Sat 12/4?

I'm tempted both days, although today I'd have to pack up at high tide to get back in time for an evening do. I like the look of the Sunday sun too but as there seems to be wind today then maybe a bird in the hand blah blah...... :D

Re: Tuesday 8th April

Sunny and westerly so looks like it should be good. Pity I can't make but I'm sure there will be others out. Even Sue was thinking about it.

Phil, aim to get on the water a couple of hours before high tide for 'friendlier' conditions.

Re: 6th April - Portland- Where were you?

Weston delivered yesterday. Surprisingly solid southerly conditions, around 5.4 weather for most but some of us stupidly hung onto 6.2-6.5 rather than changing down. Consequently it was a real work out but eased a bit later. Quite a few windsurfers out, including Lorraine and Justin who had an inter...
