Quantocks this Sunday?

Ok - Windsurfing it isn't. This is the mountain bikers splinter group for when the wind don't blow!

Quantocks this Sunday?

Post by RaV »

Hi,

Anyone fancy a spin up and down (and up and down and up.....) the Quantocks this Sunday?
Let me know who's interested and then we'll agree a start time, etc.

Thanks, but I think it'll be too hot in the sun for me. One advantage of windsurfing is that you can jump in if it gets too hot!
Have a good ride.

Hi V

Thanks for the offer. It's looking unlikely for Sunday, as I hope to sail on Sat.

poetry

Post by dro »

there is something very poetic about Quantocks on sunday
I am sure it is familiar

Quantocks on Sunday
Rollocks on Monday
Botox on Tuesday
Bullocks on Wednesday
Buttocks on Thursday
Bollocks on Friday
These are a few of my favourite things

A yes I remember my all time best film
with the sex godess in nun's habit playing the lead
Was'nt life wonderful
But downhill since 1965

You must get me some of those drugs, they sound great!
If found, please return to the pub.

Dro,with your obvious interest in popular music, and bearing in mind you waxed lyrical recently about a certain area of your homeland at dusk, perhaps you should set your latest reply to the old Nat King Cole classic RED SAILS IN THE SUNSET.
All the best

message for my many fans

It really is an amazing name for a place

progress report on the bike

looking very sad, unwashed and a flat tyre
Thought these modern high tech bikes did not have these problems
If my oven is self clean why can they not develop a similar bike?

Mind you cooking a chicken while coming down Brechfa mountain is probably pushing it even for a timid.

I also note a major run on timid application forms after the last bike trip !!!
BE AWARE very stringent entry requiremnts.
Must be sad, old and pathetic before consideration as a member (sorry Ben but give it time)
Also a taste for real beer is an absolute No No (bacause of the marked tendency towards open neck shirts ,cravats(how the hell do you spell it ?) and sandals with socks.
I may be old sad and pathetic BUT not that pathetic

Hope this little taste of Timidness will serve as inspiration for all of you over the coming Winter Months.
Remember in an emergency THINK LAGER
