Anyone for biking in Spain?

Ok - Windsurfing it isn't. This is the mountain bikers splinter group for when the wind don't blow!

Anyone for biking in Spain?

Post by RaV »

Hi All,

Rob & I, Viv & Steve and Ian & Neroli have all booked onto the Cycelactive Spain Weekender trip next March - Thurs 8th to Mon 12th.

There are still 2 spaces remaining and Chris at Cycleactive has held them for me for the next week or so, as it would be great if we could fill the trip ourselves.

Details can be found at http://www.cycleactive.co.uk/mountain/e ... ainwe.html
It's a great trip - this will be Rob & I's 3rd visit!!

You'll need to pay a £150 deposit now and the balance in mid January. Flying horribly early from Brizzle on the Thursday morning and coming back late evening on the Monday to max the time out there.

So let me know asap if you'd like to have one of the spaces - first come, first serve.

Hi Paul,

Excellent news that you can come along :D

Yes, been looking at Easyjet flights, although Rob & I are now going from Stansted as the price has gone up a bit since we first looked and my folks live 20 mins from Stansted anyway.

I'll PM you my number if you want to chat about it later - won't be in until after 9.30pm.

Vicky

One place to go now.....any takers?.........

Welcome on board - should be a good weekend :D

Would love to come, but I fear that skiing takes precedence & can't afford the time off work for both when I get such a miserly ration of hols. :-( :-(
It's an ill wind that never blows at all.

Hi

I phoned cycleactive, looks as though they may have already given the 2 places away on a provisional basis.

They'll get back to me.

Coming to end of surgery and feeling pissed off so thought I would take it out on the Nomads

Not sure if you realise it but Spain is further than Brechfa (sorry to break the bad news)
Hope car is in good nick and waterproof

Cwm Carn on Sunday Hmmm!!!
Too far and too knackered
but training hard so I can be ready for the Brechfa tour.
Whether I can finish it or not is another matter but will give it a go
Magic red underpants dismal failure
Did not help my breathing at all

Martin's old bike looking more and more Timid-like as the rust spreads gradually over it's body.
Has a rather red tint to it in certain lights!!
I think it looks great
Techno really irritable cos bike goes for trips and she does not.

Anyway surgery about to close
Switch off kind caring mode and return to normal irritable and nasty.
Time to go home

Hope all is well in Nomad land
from all in Timid land.

P.S.
C'mon Wales

Ooohh! tempting.

Unfortunately (?) we're taking the girls on their first skiing trip on the 23rd so:

1. there's a fair chance of me injuring myself?

2. funds will be scarce

However, I had been thinking about doing another lakes weekend with Cycleactive - possible the photography one.

Will speak to Sam over the w/e.

Cheers,
Carl

Oh how I would love to join you, but my pocket money will not stretch that far.

I have this lovely image of you arriving at the airport and cycling out into the sunshine and the wilderness. 8)

Just to say that the Spain trip is now full :D

Our friend, Chris has taken the last place - you may remember meeting him at Rob's birthday weekend in the Quantocks.
