Ride on Saturday?

Ok - Windsurfing it isn't. This is the mountain bikers splinter group for when the wind don't blow!

Ride on Saturday?

Post by Al Donald »

We really should ride on Saturday, before the winter sets in on Sunday.
Only problem is the holiday traffic, so probably best to avoid travelling on the motorways, which could limit options for most of us. Don't mind where - Mendips, Leigh Woods/Ashton Court, Ridgeway, somewhere else??
I suppose a later start in pm might help with the traffic. Anyone around?

Sorry, can't join you - I'm working and Rob still has his arm in a cast :( which on a positive note comes off on Wednesday :D

Hope you have a good ride :)

I could be on for the afternoon on the Ridgeway, am away tonight and then need to sort out some bike issues.

Neroli and I might be persuaded to do a "tame" ride. Mostly likely candidates for us (well, me) is a trip round Black Down or Ashton Court. (Them ridgeway ruts sometimes bite back so I will be giving them a miss)
If found, please return to the pub.

Also contemplating a cross country ride setting off from our house, then heading up and round Black Down & back. (Takes about 50mins to get to the Beacons, off road, from our house).

Or... a road circuit from our house round to the Black Horse in Clapton Gordano & back ~ 42miles.

But need to cut the grass first :(
If found, please return to the pub.

"Tame" is sounding good today. Not been on the bike for a while. Also gone off the idea of driving up the M5/M4 - sorry Adrian!
I'd prefer a later start (?2pm?) so, I&N I could join you later, but not sure I'm up for the 42 miler!
