Brechfa this weekend?

Ok - Windsurfing it isn't. This is the mountain bikers splinter group for when the wind don't blow!

Any chance of getting these routes in a format that Memory Maps / Garmin likes?

I found a conversion utility called g7towin, http://www.gpsinformation.org/ronh/ that thought the trk files were duff.. sorry :D

A little late, however here are two of the MM files for Wentwood. There's the ride we did last weekend and the ride guided by BMBC a year ago. The other ride (not included) was all over the place, so I am not sure it added much value as a trail.

Note that the ride we did a year ago has a spurious point on one section which is very confusing if you are navigating by GPS (as I recently discovered). There is also an obvious point where we were searching up and down the trail for our friends when they had gone straight across. (It is fairly obvious, on the end section as you travel towards Gray Hill). A couple of the tracks run parallel with the trail, where were trying to avoid the puddles. So, overall, I strongly suggest you take a hard copy (with OS reference lines marked on it!)

Waypoint 1 is where someone is beginning to build a Nothshore section and is the start of the Dragon Downhill. Waypoint 2 is the end/start of what looks like a promising track.

Enjoy,

Nigel

There's a file conversion programmes I can recommend:

http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/gpsbabel/ This will convert Fugawi files into Garmin format but not MM. :( I believe Steve has used this successfully.

http://www.gpsbabel.org/index.html is the original programme, which you can download.

http://www.gpsu.co.uk/download.html will convert from formats other than Fugawi into Memory Map format :D

Alternatively you can convert the Fugawi file into a CSV file and import this directly into MM. :D :D (You might also be able to convert and then import in Maptech exchange format)

I tried your link but found the file formats a little confusing. It looks as thought it is a stand alone programme.

I have now had a chance to play with the GPS Utility.

The good news is that it will open both MM and Fugawi files :D

And the bad news is that it will not save in MM format. Strange :???:

Sooo, you are back to saving in another format which MM will accept. The instructions say "To transfer data from GPS Utility to MemoryMap save the data in *.GPX or in either of the Maptech formats (*.MXF, *.RXF or *.TXF) and import in MemoryMap. "
