Whyte Solstice Challenge, Salisbury Plain Sun 24th June

Ok - Windsurfing it isn't. This is the mountain bikers splinter group for when the wind don't blow!

Whyte Solstice Challenge, Salisbury Plain Sun 24th June

Post by RaV »

Rob & I have signed up for the SPAM biking Whyte Solstice challenge ride on Sunday (24/6) - 45km route - if anyone fancies joining us details can be found at;

http://www.spambiking.co.uk/

There is a 90km route if anyone fancies it!! It's basically 2 laps of the 45km route!

Hope to see you there! :D

Good event despite the rain - took us just over 3 hours to get round the 45km route.
Some great singletrack through the woods, but a little skatey in places! :shock:
We both were glad we opted for mud tyres though!

Felt for you as I cycled on the road in the pouring rain this morning, wish I could have come for the SPAM challenge but thought it was too distant if I was called out. The road trip felt like an off road one though with mud everywhere and 4 punctures between 3 of us :cry:

Wondered if you'd choose mud tyres : sounds like a wise decision :P

Are you going to Castle Combe on Tuesday evening ?
Onwards and upwards
