A dull place
My, my. What a dull place this has become. I know there's been no wind for what seems like several decades now, but there must be other stuff to talk about? Anyone bought any new /old/used/unused/dodgy kit? Seen anyone interesting? Been anywhere potentially interesting? Seen the Weston windy machine working recently?
It's an ill wind that never blows at all.
That *might* be because you haven't advised your change of email address since you no longer have a bristolnomads email??Al Donald wrote:isn't there usually an AGM about this time of year? - not seen any emails about it!
AGM is tomorrow (Thur) starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Kings Arms, Easton-in-Gordano, BS20 0PS.
Now, isn't that fairly close to where you *used* to live

Nope - I was wrong - your new email address is set correctly in the mailing list so you should have received notification.MartinF wrote:That *might* be because you haven't advised your change of email address since you no longer have a bristolnomads email??Al Donald wrote:isn't there usually an AGM about this time of year? - not seen any emails about it!
As another member with a btinternet email address also didn't receive notification, it may be something to do with them??

Careful what you ask for, Martin - you now have something to do!MartinF wrote:My, my. What a dull place this has become.

Nature playing with windsurfers
I haven't sailed since Dahab in January and have begun to get itchy feet.
Sold my 75 Quad fin (probably a great board, but not really my thing) and bought an RRD FSW 96 for those lighter wind days in the channel.
Beginning to plan the crossing to Wales, but having trouble finding an appropriate rescue boat. We'll launch next to the lifeboat station, so perhaps we don't need one;)
Looks like the wind's in the wrong direction for the next five days at least. We are expecting a heady 6 mph NW tomorrow. Oh joy.
Apart from that, been mountain-biking, and get my car back tomorrow.
Cheers,
James.

Oddly enough, I seem not to be terribly short of things to do.Sue wrote:Careful what you ask for, Martin - you now have something to do!MartinF wrote:My, my. What a dull place this has become.
