Posting a reply with quote

Post by Al Donald »

Can you help please:
What is the correct procedure for posting a reply with quote?
The one I just tried didn't come out the way I expected, i.e. like all the others! It must be me... finger trouble probably
Thanks

It's fairly straightforward (once you know how ):

Primarily, it's done by clicking on the "quote" button of the post you wanted to reply to/quote. You'll find more details here: http://www.bristolnomads.org.uk/phpBB/f ... e=bbcode#4

This is part of the description of BBCode - a means of applying html-like tags to BB posts to facilitate a certain degree of formatting of posts. For a full description of BBCode tags, click the "BBCode" link in the "Options" cell - just below your text window when creating a new post.
It's an ill wind that never blows at all.

Hi Al it looks like you are deleting too much when you cut down the quote. You need to leave the final [/quote] text at the end of the quote and have the

sense of bonding

I give up too!!!!

feel a great bond with Al

cos i can not get anything at all to work
After saying this must admit I have not really tried very hard

While I am on line thought I should add that I agree with Graham
I also am too lazy to type Graham Utteridge so DRO will have to suffice

Thinking about it I am also too lazy to type Albert Bottomface ,Caradog ap Caswallon Fawr and Cedric Bumfluff.
BUT did not realise it until I read Grahams entry.
Amazing eh!!

As to the type of member allowed on the forum
Too late to close the stable door I am already there !!

By the way there seem to be a lot of accidents on the bikes these days
You must all be cycling too slowly!!

If I do not see you in Barry this weekend (unlikely looking at weather report)
A very merry Xmas to you all and an extremely happy New Year
