It looks like there there should be some wind this week. Tues/Weds look promising or a bit damp, any one got any plans? I was thinking of a trip one day (Hamworthy probably) and WSM the other, but interested if anyone else going anywhere.

Re: this week
Tomorrow not looking so good on the forecast now, Wednesday definitely looking promising, the question is where?

Re: this week
Hi Graham
Weds could be OK at WSM - and the tide timing is good.
I'll probably decide tomorrow morning. Lorraine has her eye on it .

Re: this week
I have taken a days leave for tomorrow (Wednesday).
Not decided where i am going yet, possibly Portland or possibly Weston Super Mare.
Looks like there being a slight chance of a slight breeze on the South Coast
So Portland looking my favourite at the moment.

Re: this week
We are heading down to St Tudy, not far from Damer at the weekend, plan to stop off at Roadford lake for a blast on Friday.......
Re: this week
Basing it on current met office forecast, i am off to Portland.
Enjoy yourselves where ever you go.

Re: this week
Anyone going to give Weston a go today?
Re: this week
I'm going to give WSM a go but it looks like we may end up waiting for the falling tide when the wind is due to pick up.

Re: this week
I'm going to get there for incoming tide as xc weather has wind then. Also forecast has it more westerly early on.
see you there.

Re: this week
OK, packed the car, will sort out something to eat then head off, although I think Ian made the right choice.

Re: this week
I thought i had made the wrong choice this morning Graham, what with the rain and light winds.
Fortunately the wind did kick in this afternoon together with a nice clear blue sky. So definitely was worth it in the end.
Hopefully Weston was just as good.

Re: this week
We had the blue skies, but very marginal winds. I had two good runs planing all the way on my Kombat97/6.5 but other than that it was mainly wobbling between waves and standing on the shore waiting for the wind. The forecast wind after high tide never happened with the exception of a downpour squall came through late when I had already started de-rigging, but it only lasted 10-15 mins. Also its amazing how they have managed to creat a lull just off Dismaland so even the windsurfers have a bad time near there

Re: this week
Couldn't do Wednesday anyway due to work (yes really) so considering today as there seems to be some possibility.
Should've been here yesterday.
Re: this week
Decent session in the sunshine yesterday (Thursday) at Weston. Planing up and down on my 6.3/110L combo from around 5pm till gone 7, the first hour and a bit being especially good before the wind started to ease slightly and it gradually got more marginal. Only a handful of us out, not Dismal at all. It was also motorbike night so very busy along the Prom as I drove away.

Re: this week
Where as earlier in the week there was no wind forecast passed Weds so I didn't even look until it was too late
