Well in the end decided to stick to my original plan and go to Portland.
Got down there for 1 to have some lunch Also someone was kind enough to leave an all-day parking ticket. Signs for a Good Day
A bit of a trek to the sea, but hey we do that at Weston!!
On the water for 2, on my Starboard Evo 75L and a Tush Rock 5.2.
I'm thinking I should have started with my Mistral 104L, as it's been a while and I'm going to be rusty! A quick watersart and straight into the footsteps and skipping over the waves, Top Banana and it feels like I haven't stop for winter as sea legs kick in
The wind was ENE and gusty in bits, but I had a great 3 sail and even got in a few gyps which surprised me! Sailed for about 3 hrs with the odd breather here and there.
Came off the water 5.20, which was just as well, as the wind was starting to fade.
Top day and just what I needed to get me back into this Great Sport
Driving home, I just had a big cheesy grin on my face

Well done, Mark - I am pleased you didn't listen to me .
Must have been a hell of a walk, but sounds well worth it.
