Hamworthy 5th.May

Post by Graham_U »

Sun, wind and the wildest sea state I've ever seen there today. The chop was so closed that a number of times I jumped from one bit to land with the nose straight into the next which lead to some interesting and painful dismounts. Major milestone on the Windsurfing front as I finally broke the 90 Litre board barrier with the first outing of my new old Kombat 85Litre board. I first went out my Kombat97 with a 4.2 which was not enough as there were a lot of holes so glad I had the bigger board. But that didn't last long, and once I'd completed some solid runs, I switched to the smaller board for the first time. Short runs and long breaks the order of the day. Soon into hanging on, and soon after the gust were becoming the norm, which made even water starting a challenge to avoid going over the top. Lots of sun to go with the wind despite the wet drive down.
