Bears in the park - helps to focus the mind! Steve refused to go and stand next to them so that we could get an idea of the scale.

First day in Whistler's bike park today - Excellent, Rowberrow Woods won't be quite the same again. Retail therapy for some full face helmets at the end of the day.

Tomorrow is Heli-Drop day.... :D :D :D

On the darker side we are being stung by mosquito's, my rear tyre developed an alarming bulge as the inner tube tried to get out and had 2 punctures later probably as a result of the repair quality

Dont come here for the beer - there isnt any.

Even Dro would wonder about the lack of taste in the beer, however it can be refreshing :D and despite saying 5% on the tin, doesn't seem to matter how much you drink :D :D

Heli-drop was definitely a special day. Far more techinical than expected - in fact had three full body dabs before it even got tricky. Overall not sure how many dabs and fully body dabs during the whole descent but it must have been 5 or 6. Still, no harm done despite a complete forward roll with bike on one of the sections :???:.

Time spent in Rowberrow on the Nutter section and the Chimney on the Quantocks turns out to be time well spent.

Some great memories, a few are attached. Steve and I finished off with a further practise in the bike park...

Ian,

Looks great.

That last shot looks like CwmCarn but with an extra step!

Started a new job at the beginning of September - off to San Francisco on Saturday for a week. Intend to get some riding in and possible some retail therapy!

Came down the mountain from the top for the first time. Took nearly 35 minutes !! Brakes definitely overheating. Video camera working well, all the pictures of the ground in front of the bike in perfect detail   Need to sort out the angle today. Both girls suffering from mozzy bites and Viv producing some nice bruising.

I have to retract the beer comment earlier. We had a meal at The Brewhouse, a brewery similar to Zero Degrees in Bristol. The beer was really good. Red Truck Ale (malty and smooth) and Wolf Bitter (very hoppy). Unfortunately their license only allows drinking on the premises so we will just have to go back. :D

That must have been a hell of a fall Steve cos I would not recognise the face if I did not know.
Mind you it makes you look younger and the spikey hair and no beard suits you as well

Full facial helmets clearly a must
