Re: Plans for tomorrow (28March)?

I thought Hamworthy and Portland tides were pretty much anti-phase so at least one of them should be OK, and this weekend it looks like Poole, see here:

So Saturday looks OK, at least up to mid afternoon anyway.

Sunday 23rd

Great session at Weston today on the dropping tide, very well powered up on 6.5/110L combo in the slightly chilly WNW wind. I was enjoying playing on the nice waves so much I barely noticed the very brief haily shower and the rest of the time the sun was out so it felt like spring. Only one other wi...

I was away for the weekend otherwise I might've joined you. I'm starting to get withdrawal symptoms.

Re: Saturday 25th

Won't be retiring the Kombat just yet, need a few more goes on the Quad first. It didn't strike me as super loose but the definitely enjoyed not running aground so easily!

Re: Saturday 25th

You'd think an Aussie would feel the cold, especially as he's just got back from a trip there. I think I could've managed without the cap, and the wind was so strong later it was blowing off my head. :D
The board is a Starboard Quad 92 and yes, I feel a van mod coming on.

Re: Saturday 25th

Well, you can't say 20+ was wrong! One guy out on a 7.5 when I arrived, by the time I'd had a coffee it looked like 5.7 weather to me, so I put that on my new (to me) toy. I only a managed a good hour before the wind went mental, but in that time at least I managed to test the board out in a mixture...

Stormy Friday 27th

Worked off some Xmas pudding at WSM on Friday with a really good session on the dropping tide, after the manic earlier winds had settled down. Got there a couple of hours before high tide in the middle of a crazy squall, gusting to 50mph. Interesting to watch people trying to rig in that. Settled ba...

Re: Pre-Christmas Sail at Weekend?

Just got back from nearly a week at work. Conditions were pretty consistent and not too gnarly, the kit hire was free with good facilities so didn't need to try any other locations although I could've done with being more powered up at times. More of the same tomorrow. :D I could be up for a bit of ...

Re: Thursday 14th.

Yes, it was good for an hour with some nice waves before the wind died . Chilly WNW wind offset a bit by the sun and water temperature, plenty of rubber needed. 5.7 and 96L for me though as Graham says after the wind died I did go as far as getting my bigger Naish board to the water but soon gave up...
