I'm keeping an eye on it myself. Not sure if my knee is up for it yet, but I guess there's only one way to find out...

Re: 2 buoyancy aids
Hi. Yes - bizarrely I do still have them taking up space in the garage. Sorry for slow reply but have been out of the country for last 3 months. Give me a shout if you're still interested.

New beast on the old wheels
Following the demise of my Scott carbon frame in Jan, I was left with a large number of bike bits. In the intervening period between building the Scott (2006) and today, the buggers in charge of extracting £££s in exchange for bikes have decided to shake up the market by changing mountain wheel size...

Re: Saturday 25th
Does the Quad grip or is it very loose. My only experience was a JPQuad 92 I sailed in Rhodes a few years back which was so loose it felt like it was in semi spinout all the time. I love my 82l Starboard Quad wave. Yes, it's loose, and yes - it grips. It demands a different sailing style: one where...

Re: Well Windy Portland (and Weston!) - 26 Oct
It was great to be able to use a sail as small as my 4.7m again, sadly for the 1st time in 2 years. As Adrian said though; it was very gusty. Tim Lawes didn't seem to have any problem planing - http://youtu.be/WJgtvb_Fu60 And good to see we at WSM made the national BBC weather forecast - http://www....

Re: Portland 23/10
Managed to double my number of sailing sessions this year ( to 2 :D ) with a sunny windsurf at Portland yesterday with Bob. <<snip>> Lovely to be back on the water again - think my shoulder is sorted now :D , although the rest of my body seems to be complaining with aches this morning  Sue :D...

WSM - Sun 1st Sept, 2013
Those who weren't there, and - let's face - that's most of the planet, missed a really good day. I was almost one of those who didn't make it, on the basis of the poor WindGuru forecast. In the end, it was a good F4 -5, WSW, (as per the Met Office's Android app.) with some decent ramps to play on. I...

Re: WSM Sun 18th
I bought my Neil Pryde carbon boom second hand off eBay for £123 back in 2005. Same manufacturer as FIberspar back then. Best boom I've ever had. OTOH, I did have a Fiberspar carbon race boom that cracked at the front by the clamp. I bought a new front end for it & fixed it - not a job for the f...

Re: Portland - Saturday 15th June
I can report a total absence of wind here in SW Germany other than that caused by an excess of spaetzle (look it up up in the dictionary). However, it was was 34 degrees yesterday and 36 degrees today. It's a good job there's plenty of good Germany lager & weizenbier. Dro would be In his element...
