Stokes Bay /Hill Head

It looks like there could be some useful breeze for the w/e, slightly more on Saturday, and Stokes Bay getting slightly more than Hill Head. Probably largish kit required. Is anyone planning to go?
My personal preference would be Stokes Bay for Saturday, if only for old times' sake (last sailed there 20 years ago ). However I wasn't at the social last night so a decision may already have been made.

One of the easiest beaches for me to get to but am heading to Tenerife/El Medano for 2 weeks so will not be there

The weather pattern is looking spookily similar to last w/e, when the wind faded despite initially good forecasts. Sunday now looking like a washout, so I'm not sure I want to travel so far just for a day. Then again I'm desperate to sail, so may consider it as a day trip. Will check forecasts tomorrow morning and make a decision. It is currently looking like the Solent will get the best of any wind going, unless we get a sea breeze at WSM of course!

It'll be WSM for me if anywhere, since high tides are around 1.45/2.50 pm Sat/Sun. Could be on if it's sunny and Westerly.

Hmm, if no-one else is going, then I won't either. There is wind about, Portland blowing quite well. WSM still a possibility, if we get some sun (HT 13.30).

We haven't sailed at either venue so are interested having a sail/potter at one of these venues.

Agree Saturday looks by far the better day but unfortunately we have other commitments , so looks like we will be pottering on Sunday but not sure at which venue.

Contact us if anybody else planning to go but I expect we may be on our own with the forecast. (Monday & Tuesday look good - shame I be at work )
